Originally founded in 1980 as a division of a large general contractor, Palmetto Pile Driving was officially formed in 1988. With construction roots that reach back to 1949, the company has decades of practical, field-proven experience in Charleston and Southeast markets. In the late 1990s, when the region’s primary prestressed supplier closed its doors, Palmetto constructed its own pile manufacturing plant to keep critical projects moving – a decision that shaped the two-division model we run today.

That integration – manufacturing prestressed concrete piles and installing driven piles solutions – created faster feedback loops, single-source accountability and foundations that install the way they’re designed.
